Luis Álvarez

Madrid, 1975.
More than twenty years directing Advertising, Video Clips, Documentaries… and anything that has to do with telling a story.

Waiting for one day to be released in a remote jungle, for an indefinite period of time, with a camera and as he says…”to hunt”, he will continue to wage war on any project that comes along.

Miguel Angulo

After training in Madrid as an audiovisual director, I started working as a camera and editor in television programs. A few years later I decided to quit and start making videos for small brands on my own, where I grew up to take over advertising and enter production companies.

Since then I have worked for clients such as Pepe Jeans, Gillette, Orange, Volkswagen, and I have also directed music videos for artists such as Rels B, Bad Gyal or Kaydy Cain among others.

Anuska

I come from the Basque Country, the north of Spain. I studied the Humanities degree where I learn to see the world form another perspective. I moved to my second city, Barcelona, and studied a cinema master’s degree to become part of this world. My passion brings me where I am now.

I enjoy being, believing, chatting and choosing. Creating after crying, dancing and dreaming. I enjoy experimenting the feeling of giving. Growing up helping, hugging and joking around. Whenever I can I jump, kiss and laugh. Listen, LIVE, love and make up stories observing and organizing. Overthinking sometimes, why not. I like painting, partying and playing, and singing. Sometimes I scream too. And I enjoy sleeping, speaking in Basque, Spanish, English, Catalan and French. I love thinking, traveling, trusting, trying, understanding, walking, wondering, and definitely writing.

I grew up in the middle of the Mediterranean, floating on an island. I use to lie massively as a kid. Lying is about inventing, it’s story telling, with bad consequences if you do not do it properly 🙂 So I think I was good, I had good skills. I was astonished when I found out that story telling could be a way of life as respectable as any other. I thought: “I can be good at that”. So I decide to move and give it a try.

Sergi Garnica

Sergi Garnica was born in Barcelona in 1981.
He studied Cinematography at the EMAV school in Barcelona and graduated in Audiovisual Production and Shows from the ITES school.

He started working at a very young age, in Barcelona Televisió (BTV), as a camera operator and filmmaker for more than 10 years.
But Sergi was clear that this first path had, for the moment, its end.
His perseverance and desire for new challenges led him to a small change of course.

Currently Sergi Garnica is advertising director and photographer.
Versatile and committed when facing any job, he continuously participates in numerous audiovisual productions of any field: mainly advertising spots but also music videos, branded content or fashion films.
His passion for the image and the aesthetic strength that it provides, have led him to incorporate works as a photographer into his portfolio. In this sense, Sergi Garnica works for advertising campaigns, fashion editorials and online magazines.

Blai Graell

When I began working as a Director’s Assistant in a production company in Barcelona, I immediately understood how complex advertising language is. A language governed by the short time we are given to present an idea and where every small detail counts.

I spent the following years assimilating this language and alternating between directing music videos and my job as a Director’s Assistant working on large, high-profile projects. During this time in which I soaked up all kinds of references I became aware that a few of them had something which made them stand out over the rest. It didn’t have so much to do with the means by which something was done but more to do with how all the aspects that made them up complemented each other to create a piece with its own personality. And that is precisely the thing that stimulates me as a director: to condense and deconstruct the creative idea so as to reveal its essence and use this as a guide to create pieces that generate new sensations.

My work has received recognition and has won awards among which a “EuroBest” and a “New York International Advertising Awards” stand out.

Paul Kolen

After completing the Higher Technical Studies in Audiovisual Production in Barcelona at the end of the 90’s, I began the adventure of my passion: cameras.

I started in Advertising, Documentaries and Cinema in Production teams until I became Head of Production.
My concerns lead me to the camera department, more creative, going through all its levels and stages with a quick learning.

A back injury with Steadycam makes me stop for a while and rest to recover.
I write my first short film “Detuned”, I shoot it and they select me at the Sitges International Film Festival, I win in Italy, I reach the final in Washington … among others.
At that moment I see that … and why not direct?
I fly to Los Angeles to do a Master in Actors Direction, Planning and to improve my English.

I am currently doing advertising (www.paulkolen.com) with the intention of combining it with fiction.
And now to continue more than ever since I am in a stage with experience, rich in creativity and a lot of strength.

Alex Rodriguez ADDP

Alex Rodríguez

Alex Rodríguez is an advertising director, storyteller and documentary filmmaker born in Valencia but currently living between Madrid and Mallorca. Professionally he has shown great versatility in his filming style, ranging from shooting more intimate pieces, through spots where humor plays a major role, to large productions.

His work is nourished by a deep passion and knowledge of the world of cinema, comics, literature and painting with a special sensitivity for aesthetics and attention to the smallest details. His style could be defined as eclectic, both for the different types of campaigns and spots he directs, as for his genre, although it is with comedy and surrounded by actors, where he feels more comfortable, especially in spots where humor plays an important role.

He manages to give transcendence and meaning to the stories he tells, without losing freshness and realism. His staging is elegant and cinematic, and his characters tend to linger in our retina.

Jorge Stasny

Jorge Stasny

I was a naughty boy who grew up poor in a rich neighborhood. red headed, in a country of dark hair , atheist in a convent school and a dyslexic in the University of Philosophy. It was always difficult for me to verbalize my inner world and the way to express myself has been through the audiovisual universe . All my flaws became my strengths. I am currently working as a filmmaker specialized in the combination of live action with tabletop.

Stein

Biped. Once upon a time I won a prize. More like a cat than a dog, I make up words and I love punk. I wanted to be like Iggy Pop, shirtless, so I use shootings as an excuse to seduce my public. Adds, music clips and mixed movies, film or digital. I dance but I have no rythm.

Núria Tolós ADDP

Núria Tolós

Status: Freelance

I love telling stories. When I was little I was always reading and writing. Later I got my hands on a film camera and learned all about the art of photography. As a teenager I fell in love with classic films. And at some point, my interest in stories got introduced to my passion for images. And now, years later, the two remain a happy couple.

Symmetry mesmerizes me, as long as it’s imperfect. My scripts are absurd, with a hint of humor, and the leading roles feature people who dance, break the mold, or try to run away.

If I ever stop loving it, I’d like to be a meteorologist, if it’s not too late.

Fran Torres

Fran’s style is characterized by his strong sense of storytelling, which relies on his skill for directing actors. His theater background has had a positive impact on Fran’s natural talent for communicating emotions and humor poignantly. He has a keen sensibility to convey strong feelings across his commercials, whether he’s portraying touching or humorous stories. Along with his natural sense of storytelling, he has the capacity to build ideas around different genres with a strong visual attitude.

Dani Torres

At the age of 10 I stepped onto a sit for the first time and from that moment I knew I wanted to direct. In 2004, after working in different trades of the profession, production, assistant director etc, I jump to the direction, carrying out campaigns for big brands and agencies.

I like narrative pieces, working with actors and storytelling, but without neglecting the most aesthetic part of my pieces. My desire to shoot makes me take care of the smallest details, dedicating time and love, no matter how small or large the campaign is.

In 2010 I was nominated for Best Young Director at the Cannes festival (CFPC-Commercial Film Producers of Europe) and Shorts) for advertising by Viral de Rodar y Rodar.

I have directed four short films, El Paso (nominated for the Gaudí awards), Contra el Cristal, Hasta Mañana and When You Started to Stop Loving Me.

I’m currently working on two feature film script projects, Hring and La Llave.
